The band's professional ascent is marked by key collaborations and consistent radio support. Their recent singles, including 'Medals' and 'Pass It On', were mixed by Daniel Fox of Gilla Band, and have received extensive national airplay on RTÉ 2fm and international stations like Amazing Radio.
Their work has earned press acclaim from Hot Press, Clout, and Earmilk. Now, Foot Squeaker is poised for their biggest year yet, announcing their debut EP 'Arc Eye' and coming to Lee's as part of their Irish tour to support its release. Choosing to build their community through direct fan engagement and powerful live shows, they are a band proving that the biggest impact comes from the music itself.
‘Arc Eye’ is the first proper EP, released April 2026. Four tracks. It pulls together everything they’ve been building toward and adds new muscles. The lead single is ‘05:30’.
Louise Tighe on RTÉ 2fm’s (Irish National Station) Weekend Breakfast made ‘05:30’ her Song of the Week.
Here’s what people are saying:
Jammerzine (US): “The trio lean into their scrappy alt indie instincts with a confidence that suggests they have stopped second guessing themselves and started trusting the noise. It is messy in the right ways, sharp when it needs to be, and surprisingly thoughtful.” PureMZine (IRE): “Their debut EP ‘ARC EYE’ lands as a rough-edged statement of intent, pulling together past singles and new material into something tighter, louder, and harder to ignore.” Eardrum Buzz (US), the one who called it surprising: “This is quite surprising. I thought they’d be kind of a middle of the road rock band but then I hear all these weird bass lines and chord progressions. A little jazzy, a little proggy. Good stuff.”
That last quote matters. Because Foot Squeaker could have been a straight-ahead rock band. It would have been easier. But they’re not interested in easy.
HUBERT MURRAY
Irish raconteur, Hubert Murray, has a voice bursting from the soul. Growing up in a house of mix-tapes and stacks of folk & blues records, he sifted through each one, de-composing their melodies and lyrics. His distorted folk sound embodies all that is best in modern roots music, combining soul, energy and storytelling. Hubert's songs feature lost loves, inner demons, compulsive liars & day-dreamers, rounded out with a masterful hand over the fretboard. His sound bows a head to the masters of melody and word such as; John Martyn, Beck, Laura Marling and Jeff Buckley.
