The Night-Time Economy Grassroots Music Venues Support Scheme is a pilot program designed to assist small, established grassroots music venues. The scheme aims to support the continued programming of early-career musicians and is part of a broader effort to bolster the night-time economy. €500,000 has been allocated to the scheme, with individual venues eligible for up to €15,000 in funding. The funding can cover up to 75% of eligible costs, with the remaining 25% to be self-funded by the venue.
John Lee's Bar are among the 33 venues across Ireland that received funding in the first round. The grants will help these venues host a series of events featuring live and electronic music, providing opportunities for emerging artists and contributing to a thriving local music scene.
