Lee's Awarded Night-Time Economy Grassroots Grant

John Lee's Bar in Tullamore was awarded a €15,000 grant as part of the Night-Time Economy Grassroots Music Venues Support Scheme. This scheme, with a total fund of €500,000, supports established grassroots music venues in showcasing emerging musicians. The funding can be used for various expenses like artist fees, crew costs, and marketing. John Lee's Bar will use the funds to host events featuring local and regional talent, contributing to the vibrancy of Tullamore's music scene.

The Night-Time Economy Grassroots Music Venues Support Scheme is a pilot program designed to assist small, established grassroots music venues. The scheme aims to support the continued programming of early-career musicians and is part of a broader effort to bolster the night-time economy. €500,000 has been allocated to the scheme, with individual venues eligible for up to €15,000 in funding. The funding can cover up to 75% of eligible costs, with the remaining 25% to be self-funded by the venue.

John Lee's Bar are among the 33 venues across Ireland that received funding in the first round. The grants will help these venues host a series of events featuring live and electronic music, providing opportunities for emerging artists and contributing to a thriving local music scene. The funding can be used for a range of expenses including artist fees, crew costs, PR and advertising, and other related costs.
